University Scholar Application

Application to the Honors Program

You must be accepted into the University in order to receive an invitation to join the University Scholars honors program. Once you have received an invitation, you are encouraged to complete the application, which consists of three parts:

  1. This cover sheet providing basic information about you and your school.  Note that standardized admission exam scores and GPA/transcript information (previously submitted with initial application to the University) will also be considered for your honors program application.
  2. A letter explaining why you want to enter the program and why you think you will succeed in it.
  3. A writing sample. The writing sample must be a four- to six-page essay, preferably from one of your high school courses, demonstrating your ability to write at a college level.

You will be able to upload your letter and writing sample directly to this form.
