Seminary Scholarship Application

    Seattle Pacific Seminary (SPS) at Seattle Pacific University provides scholarships for certain seminary students. These scholarships are limited in number, depending upon available funds for qualified applicants. The deadline for SPS Scholarship applications is Friday, March 28, 2025.

    To be eligible for application, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
    • Be accepted into the SPS graduate program.
    • Serve or plan to serve in Christian ministry.
    • Be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits/quarter.
    • Maintain all graduate student requirements for continuation in the program, including good standing.
    • Demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA form to the federal government no later than March 28
    • Important notes: scholarships will be distributed evenly across the fall, winter, and spring quarters of the academic year for which a scholarship is awarded.
    • Recipients of SPS scholarships are required to express their appreciation in written form to donors by the end of the first quarter their scholarship is awarded to receive its full disbursement.

    Write a one-page essay describing need. In your essay, please summarize your monthly expenses, monthly income, and any information on other grants or scholarships received or applied for. Please also include your estimated credit hours for each quarter in the upcoming Academic Year using the format listed below:

    • Fall: 8 credits
    • Winter: 6 credits
    • Spring: 6 credits
